Cancer-agnostic by design

Why fields are open — and what to do when your cancer type isn't on a drop-down.

Teloma supports any cancer type. The data model uses an open cancer type / subtype / histology field instead of a single enum, and biomarkers are free-text (gene or marker name) instead of a fixed list. The demo cohort happens to cover lung, breast, colorectal, prostate, pancreatic, and lymphoma — but the platform itself is not lung-specific.

If your cancer type isn't in the drop-down on Diagnosis, type it in. The same is true for biomarkers, staging systems, and treatments — the catalog of seeded values is a convenience, not a constraint.

Note

If you see anything in the UI that hard-codes a specific cancer, please flag it. The intent is that every feature works the same way for every cancer type.
